Jinhua Liubao Tea is produced in Wuzhou City, Guangxi, and is a product protected by the National Geographical Indication. Its distinctive feature lies in the presence of "golden flowers," scientifically known as Eurotium cristatum. These golden flowers secrete enzymes such as polyphenol oxidase, pectinase, cellulase, and protease, which catalyze the conversion of starch into monosaccharides and oxidize polyphenolic compounds in the tea. This process eliminates the coarse and grassy taste, enhancing the tea's flavor to make it more mellow and smooth.
Jinhua Liubao Tea is made from fresh leaves of large-leaf tea trees, with the picking standard being one bud with two or three leaves or one bud with three or four leaves. The finished tea has long, tightly rolled strands and a grayish-black color. The tea soup is a deep amber hue, with a rich and aged aroma, accompanied by a unique fungal fragrance, aged scent, and a subtle hint of betel nut. The taste is sweet and mellow, with a smooth, red bean paste-like texture and a pronounced sweet aftertaste. Additionally, Jinhua Liubao Tea offers health benefits such as nourishing the stomach, aiding weight loss, and reducing lipid levels.
