Fu Tea is the most distinctive variety of dark tea, belonging to the category of post-fermented tea and also considered fully fermented tea. Originally, Fu Tea was a specialty commodity for nomadic regions such as Northwest China, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia. Because it is processed during the hottest days of summer, it is called "Fu Tea" or "Fu Brick Tea."
As a prized variety of dark tea, Fu Tea stands out for its unique "golden flower" component. The so-called "golden flowers" are produced through a special process called "flowering," which involves cultivating a type of fungus known as Eurotium cristatum within the compressed bricks of dark tea. This fungus is commonly referred to as "golden flowers." When dry, the golden flowers emit a faint, refreshing aroma reminiscent of yellow blossoms. When Fu Tea containing these special fungi is brewed, the floral fragrance integrates into the tea soup, enhancing its flavor with a mellow, slightly astringent taste that is pure, robust, and far from coarse. Additionally, Fu Tea can effectively promote and regulate metabolism, boost immunity, and provide antibacterial benefits, contributing to overall health and disease prevention.
